Interested in the upcoming BS6 scooters in Nepal? Well, we have you covered then. Here's a compilation of all upcoming BS6 scooters in Nepal that are likely to be launched after the ongoing restrictions to stop the spread of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic ease down.
Honda Dio BS6:
The BS6 Dio comes with a refreshed design and a host of new features. The new Dio is powered by a BS6 110cc engine that produces 7.68 bhp at 8,000rpm and 8.79 Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. The fuel-injected engine which gets Honda Eco Technology (HET), comes powered by Honda's Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) system, which is said to optimise energy output by maximising efficient combustion and minimising friction. It also incorporates a new silent start ACG starter, which uses the AC generator, eliminating the need for a conventional starter motor.
The scooter gets a new signature LED position lamp, a modern tail lamp design, split grab rails, a sharper logo, and new body graphics. There's also a new full-digital speedometer on offer that provides a long list of information with three new real-time informatics like range, average fuel efficiency, as well as real-time fuel efficiency. The instrument console also gives out other details like the total trip, clock, and service due indicator. Other features include a side stand indicator with engine cut-off, an idling stop system, and an external fuel-filler cap, depending upon the trim. The new Honda Dio BS6 now gets a telescopic suspension at the front with a 12-inch wheel and 130mm drum brake. At the rear, you will find a 3-step adjustable spring-loaded hydraulic with a 10-inch wheel and 130mm drum. There is also Honda's CBS (Combi-Brake System). The wheelbase has now increased by 22mm to 1,260mm.
In India, the Honda Dio BS6 model is available in two variants - Standard and Deluxe. The Standard variant will be offered in four colors – Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Candy Jazzy Blue, Sports Red, and Vibrant Orange. The Deluxe variant will be available in three colors – Matt Sangria Red Metallic, Dazzle Yellow Metallic, and Matt Axis Grey Metallic.
Honda Grazia BS6:
The new BS6 Grazia now sports a sharper stance. The headlight unit is sleeker and is now an LED unit. Higher up on the front apron, the new Grazia gets LED DRLs, much like the Dio’s. The handlebar cowl has also been redesigned slightly, with sharper lines and edges. The body panels on the side of the scooter look sharper as well, while the tail section and brake-light assembly have been redesigned, too.
The BS6 Grazia also gets a new twin-pod digital instrument cluster. Apart from information like speed and rpm, the unit will also display range, real-time efficiency, and average efficiency. The Grazia is powered by a 124cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 8.14 bhp and a torque of 10.3 Nm. It gets front and rear drum brakes with a combined braking system of both wheels. The new Grazia scooter weighs 108 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 liters.
The Honda Grazia goes up against the Hero Maestro Edge, Yamaha Ray ZR, TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR 125, and Suzuki Burgman Street 125.
Suzuki Access 125 BS6:
The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 features an LED headlamp and external fuel filler as standard and it comes in two variants: standard and Special Edition. The standard variant of the Suzuki Access 125 BS-6 compliant version has options of Alloy Drum Brake, Alloy Disc Brake, and Steel Drum Brake. Suzuki says the new Access 125 to be more comfortable with a long seat, enlarged floorboard, and larger under-seat storage.
The scooter is powered by a BS6-compliant 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injection engine that delivers 8.6 bhp @ 6750 rpm and 10 Nm @ 5500 rpm. The scooters also come equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance Technology and Integrated Engine start and Kill switch with Suzuki Easy Start System. The Access 125 competes against the likes of BS6 Honda Activa 125. Hero Maestro Edge 125 Fi, and Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi.
